Dear Auckland Transport

Tuesday, 30th August, 2016
Dear Auckland Transport,

I hope that you know that the death rate from trains has gone up. You need to do something about. Not doing anything to people who had recently died is not okay. Trains are dangerous and can kill people at a instant. The relatives from people who had died from trains are sad and unhappy that someone that is loved so much is now gone and won’t be there when they are in big problems. It is very very sad because there is a hole in her wife heart.

You should add more safety that doesn't include danger. You should set up train cones near the train tracks or you could put loudspeakers in the front of the train to warn the people who are crossing the train tracks. I agree from the the new modern rules and design that you have come up with but there is occurs to the train that needs to be fixed

The conclusion is you listen to our ideas to prevent train deaths from happening in 2016 and the next years.

Yours Sincerely
Sam

Science Intensive

Yesterday, Glenbrae school are doing science through the week. My class had to split into two groups so each group can go to each teacher. Ms Stones group went down to room three to do their science and my group stayed in class.  My group learned about the famous scientists named Isaac Newton and how he created the three movements. In my group, we split up into two groups so we could work on each movement and then we work together on the third movement. We learned all about forces and Inertia. Our groups were supposed to swap after morning tea but Mrs Elia told us to go back to our first group. My group made some cars and try to make it move using balloons. It was boys against girls. The girls won because their balloon went forward as ours did front flips.

Kiwi Can

Today we had Kiwi Can with Mr A again. It was boring but it was still fun. We first lined up out of Kiwi can and waited for Mr A to introduce us into his class. Mr A to four people to line up behind the cones. Mr A told us to go four by four. We all lined up behind the first four people. When we lined up, we started of our routine for Kiwi Can. First of all, he greeted us by saying Kia Orana. We learned about resilience and Goal setting. We had to find out the meaning of resilience and Goal setting. One of the people in our class said the meaning and another person said the other meaning.

After that, Mr A told us the energiser and it was team Limbo. Each team had to find out who could go the lowest. My team went pretty low but another team went lower than my team. Next, we played limbo with elimination. Who ever touched the pole or the ground with their hands is out. Lindakiki's team was the winner.

Next we went back into our four lines so we get on to our next activity. When we got into our lines, we learned all kinds of stuff like what are we going to do when we grow up or how to get to set a goal. We can set short term goals to get to our Long term goals.

After that, Our activity was to get into a group of four and work out what we are we going to do in the future. We had to set a Long term goal, we had to find how we are going to get there, what is the timeline to get there and how to pratise to get there.

Kiwi Sport ( Volley Ball)

Today Kiwi sport was really fun. When we got there we saw that the nets were already up. First of all, we lined up on the line and waited for the coach to come and tell us what to do. She told us what is the most important move in netball and we all had different answer's. Our coach tricked us because the most important move is all of the moves.

Next we had to find a partner to practise with so we can play properly when we verse our own classmates. First of all, we had to throw the ball to our partner on the other side of the net and we had to hit the ball up and catch. Next we had a competition to first to 20 passes and catching to your partner.

Next we split up into teams. Each team versed different teams at a different time. Some of the teams won and some of the teams lost there matches.

Today, Room 7 had a Volleyball session a coach named Antonia but she allowed us to call her Toni.

For the first activity, We had to find a partner to practise later on. Toni taught us how to hit the ball and to serve the ball because later on, we are going to compete with other partners. I and my partner carried on practising hitting the ball properly. Soon after, we started to compete, other partners, my was Alfred and we were competing against Justin and Levi F.
